This weekend Northeastern Powerlifting competed at the USAPL Rhode Island Winter Equinox meet. Their rookies competed, many of them for the first time, along side a few veterans. The team did well in a competitive meet.
The Men secured 6 medals. Justin Choy, Sam Allegretti and Nick Fiorito took home gold. Folagbade Adetoye took home silver. Jason Steimeling and Michael Barbini took home bronze. .
The Women secured 5 medals. Megan Schroeder took home gold. Lauren Martires, Emilie Hardel and Raven Mathews took home silver. Celia White took home bronze.
The team is excited to move into the spring season where everyone will compete in February to prepare for Nationals in April.
