At Northeastern University, opportunities are endless. Along with city living, cooperative education and world-class academics, Northeastern also offers opportunities for athletes seeking non-varsity sports. Specifically, for those seeking the thrill of competition and with love of the sport, the Women’s Lacrosse program offers the perfect opportunity to become part of a great team. We compete in Division 1 of the NEWLL (New England Women’s Lacrosse League) conference of the WCLA (Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association). In the past 2017 season, we participated in the NEWLL regional tournament. In the 2016 spring season, we lost narrowly to Boston College in the regional finals at SUNY Cortland. In 2013, we came out on top of NEWLL playoffs and were able to travel to Colorado Springs, CO to compete at WCLA Nationals.
Our program is very competitive, playing games and tournaments across the country against some top-ranked teams. Every year in February we compete at the Santa Barbara Shootout in Santa Barbara, CA. In 2015, we also played a tournament at Virginia Tech. As the only women’s lacrosse team on campus, we recruit the very best lacrosse talent here at NU.
The Northeastern Women’s Lacrosse team is a team committed to excellence, success and fun. We are teammates and friends both on and off the field. We strive to be the best we can be, and in order to do so we must play as one. Our team is full of chemistry, talent and commitment, and together we accomplish our goals.
