A different way to consider buildings is to compare them to humans… How would BMI (Body Mass Index) apply to buildings?
BIO:

When clients and colleagues have problems they can’t solve, they consistently ask Bob Andrews for help. He loves solving problems, and he takes satisfaction in proposing the appropriate solution for each. To Bob, who has spent 30 years designing mechanical systems for high-profile science and technology, corporate office and higher education projects, those solutions go beyond clichés and industry buzz words. For years, clients have asked Bob to incorporate sustainability into their projects – at the first combined LEED Platinum Core/Shell LEED Platinum Commercial Interiors project for National Grid at 40 Sylvan Road, at 100 College Street, which was built over a highway tunnel, and at Brown University’s repurposing of a jewelry manufacturing center into an animal facility and wet laboratory. Bob takes a lot of satisfaction in translating sustainability into understandable terms for these clients and incorporating sustainability in successful and measurable ways. When he’s not travelling or trying to find ways to reduce his ever-mounting email inbox, Bob is applying a flexible approach to project design for AHA clients. With his impressive portfolio of LEED Certified projects, it’s obvious that when Bob decided to become an engineer at the early age of 14, he made the right choice.
