9/2/19: Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Social – Cream + Sugar + Liquid Nitrogen -> Lots of Ice Cream and Good Times Had by All! The Northeastern Science Quad was full of students from across the University who were excited to see chemistry in action and get a taste of some free ice cream.
9/22/19: Kimball Farms – Our annual trip to Kimball Farms in Westford was a great opportunity for new chemists to get to know their mentors. We were lucky enough to have beautifully warm weather with lots of sunshine. Activities include mini-golf, sand volleyball tournaments, bumper-boats, and lots and lots of ice cream.
10/23/19: Mole Day – To celebrate the Mole and National Chemistry Week, we gave away small ACS moles and candy in Curry Crossroads to people across the university. It was a great way to interact with scientists and non-scientists alike, as well as to spread a little NCW joy.
11/25/19: Celtics Game – The annual department trip to a Celtics Game at TD Garden brings together students and faculty for a fun night of hanging out and discovering our competitive spirit. Boston was playing the Sacramento Kings and the game was very close, but the Celtics edged out a win, beating the Kings 103-102.
