Speaker Series: Bringing Sustainability Goals to Reality: Implementation in Practice
Arlen Li AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador

ABSTRACT:
Many projects begin with numerous sustainability goals which eventually become lessened or disappear in the course of design due to a variety of factors. This presentation will describe the approach for maintaining those goals, featuring examples of two different types of academic campus buildings: a high-intensity research lab and a classroom/museum facility. For both, ambitious goals were established at the outset of a project and carried through to implementation. An important outcome is the furthering of the process towards the comprehensive perspective of holistic design.
