Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures

Healthy Kids Healthy Futures is now BCYF Family Gym

Healthy Kids Healthy Futures was a health and wellness initiative created by Northeastern University and Boston Children’s Hospital from 2009-2016.

One of its main components, Family Gym, has continually operated since its inception in 2010 when it was established as Open Gym.

Although Healthy Kids Healthy Futures no longer operates or oversees the administration and implementation of Family Gym, the program is still going strong. Family Gym is currently expanding its reach across the City of Boston through the Foundation for Boston Centers for Youth & Families and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Family Gym is a FREE drop in program operating in several BCYF centers across Boston on Saturday Mornings for approximately 90 minutes of unstructured and structured play for families to play together.
