The Challenge
The Fiscal Challenge is an annual nation-wide fiscal policy competition for undergraduate students. The goal of the challenge is for each team to develop a series of research backed policy proposals and projections that will reduce the national debt-to-GDP ratio to a certain target. The top six teams nationwide are invited to finals in Washington, DC where they present in person to a panel of economists.
Our Team
The Northeastern team has a strong record of placing well at finals, becoming national champions in 2022 and placing third overall in 2023 and 2024. We pride ourselves on being a team that is open and welcoming to new members regardless of their major, year, or previous experience.
