Map Diem

“Map Diem” (literally translates to “fat points”) is our 4-team, point-driven system, created with the intention to unite our members and initiate more bonding moments. It was created in 2011, and we are continuously finding ways to make it fun and exciting for our members.

Members who join this year will be placed in one of four teams for the entire academic year. Once members are placed on a team, they are  a part of that team forever.

Members are split into these teams and have these corresponding colors:

Dragon – Blue
Phoenix – Red
Tiger – White
Turtle – Black

Map Diem points are earned mainly through competitive activities and attending general meetings, although there are other ways to earn points, such as reading the newsletter carefully for secret Map Diem rewards, volunteering during our volunteer events, and other missions the E-Board comes up with.

Each semester, teams will collect points throughout the meetings and events we’ve planned out, which will culminate in the End of the Year Event (end of Fall semester) where teams can bet points to earn first place and in the Final Tournament (end of Spring semester) where teams endure physical competition. Points are reset after each semester.
