FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we have to reach all of the requirements before the end of the semester?

Since this is the first semester we are running the program, you do not need to meet every requirement by the end of the semester. Instead, you will have until March 1, 2019 to meet the initial requirements. Additionally, if you volunteered with either STEMout or the Center for STEM Education during the Spring 2018 semester, we will count those hours toward your total. Please email neustemout@gmail.com if you have hours from last semester that you would like to count toward being a lead volunteer.

Do I have to attain the position of Lead Volunteer before I start receiving more responsibility?

As you meet more of the requirements and become more involved, we will start to delegate more responsibility to you as we deem necessary, even if you are not officially a lead volunteer yet!

Are the requirements set in stone for this semester?

Since this is the first semester we are running the program, the requirements are likely to adapt based on what is feasible for those involved and the feedback of prospective lead volunteers. However, as we find a system that works, the requirements will become less adaptable.
