In the Fall of 2004, Chris Smith who was then affiliated with the Squashbusters Program, approached Mike Prince and Steven Portella – who then became the first two squash captains – about starting a Squash Club Team.  The team officially starts and first season commences.  NEU participates in Nationals for the first time.
February 2005 – NEU Hosts College Team National Championships

2005-2006 Season
First full squash season for NEU.  NEU establishes itself rising in college squash rankings to qualify for placement in the Chaffee division of national squash.  NEU prevails over Columbia.
Women’s Team started and the first set of recruits is welcomed.
Men’s Team wins first match in program history over Fordham.

Clayton Quarles and Darius Wilsey take over as captains in late 2007 and worked hard to put the team into a competitive position of growth and stability under the departure of Coach Smith.
Men finish #23 in the country. Beat Middlebury, Wesleyan, Conn College, Hobart, and many more storied varsity programs.
Women get their first ever individual match win at the #1 spot of a team match.

Open coaching position until the arrival of Taiwo Kuti in 2008.
Captains Kuram Khan and Chris Birkins led the Huskies and finished a record-breaking season, ranking as high as #21 during the 2007/2008 season.

Coach Chris Reigeluth comes onboard as Huskies new Coach in 2009.  Captains Darius Wilsey and Clayton Quarles graduate leaving a financially solid squash program and continued optimism for future years.

New Captains Pedro Souza and Buddy Scott take the helm.

John Ghublikian joins Pedro Souza as Captains.
