This artifact is a transcript of a podcast describing students’ interviews with elderly Russian speakers at Little Brothers, Friends of the Elderly, an organization supporting elderly communities’ social enrichment. In Russian, they describe what they learned from the adults they interviewed – in Russian – on topics such as weather, immigration stories, travel, customs and holidays, and the adults’ level of cultural conservatism. Students also talk about the history of Russian/Slavic/Soviet/Jewish immigration and their own families’ experience with it, if applicable.
