Abstract: The following video provides an overview of a webpage and visualization designed for Massachusetts Promise Fellowship (MPF). This organization works to provide youth with the resources needed to be successful- academically, emotionally, and otherwise. An invaluable factor in the success of any young individual is the presence of a caring adult. As such, MPF matches youth with caring adults (known in MPF programs as fellows) in order to improve cognitive and emotional engagement, and to assist with future academic planning and goal-setting. The purpose of this project is to determine if and how working with a fellow had an impact on youth experiences in MPF programs across the aforementioned dimensions. Evaluating the impact of fellows on youth will allow coordinators to adjust programs and/or fellow training as needed to better meet the needs of youth participants. Moreover, having concrete evidence of the impact of fellows on youth will also allow individuals external to MPF to better evaluate how MPF achieves its stated goals.
