Hanieh Hassanzadeh works on multi-disciplinary aspects of climate and atmospheric science, from developing climate models with state-of-the-art machine learning approaches to extracting knowledge from climate and weather data using data sciences and statistical methods in terms behavior of climate systems and atmospheric processes, as well as extreme events. Moreover, she investigates causes and impacts of weather extremes on regional scales. Hanieh has a PhD in Atmospheric and Climate Sciences from ETH Zurich University. Before joining SDS Lab, she had an appointment as a scientist at Harvard University.
