Detailed description:The SDS Lab is looking to fill a senior postdoctoral researcher position in the broad areas of uncertainty quantification and nonlinear dynamics within civil and environmental engineering systems. The candidate must have an earned PhD in civil, mechanical, aerospace or related engineering disciplines, demonstrated background in data-driven methods particularly related to sustainability (e.g., climate change, land use, transportation, critical infrastructures, key resources), as well as proven research interests in areas like nonlinear dynamical systems modeling, high performance spatiotemporal data mining, knowledge discovery from sensor-based systems, detection and analysis of extreme values or rare events, and uncertainty quantification from large-scale computational model simulations Contact: Auroop R.
