Our project was to work with Everyday Speech, an online learning platform for children with developmental disorders. We built a new brand for the company as well as a new website to promote their videos. This project was an incredible learning experience from the beginning. We started with user interviews at the Social Thinking conference, the largest gathering of Speech Language Pathologists in the New England area. We then created user stories and began to work out flows for the website. While we worked on this, the brand began to take shape through careful art direction and an iterative cycle in logo design. We focused on keeping the client involved in the creative decisions that were being made. Over the course of the next months the site began to take shape through wireframes and high fidelity mockups. We also went to a private speech pathology practice and shot photos and video for the new brand. Finally, the site was built by the development experts on the team. A ton was learned in the process and Everyday Speech now has a new presence on the web that better aligns with their customer base.
