Who is eligible for ROUTES?
The mission of the ROUTES program is to diversify the environmental health field by offering research co-ops to students from underrepresented communities. Therefore, undergraduate students who have typically been underrepresented in the field of environmental health, including students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and individuals from socially, culturally, economically, or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds that have inhibited their ability to pursue a career in the environmental health sciences are invited to apply to the ROUTES Scholars Co-op program.
What is Environmental Health?
Environmental health is a broad interdisciplinary field that includes environmental engineering, marine and biological sciences, health disparities, pharmaceutical science, sociology and anthropology, climate change, social justice and more.
