PROTECT researcher Anzalota gives talk at Minority Health & Health Disparities conference

IMG_4942Dr. Liza Anzalota, Human Subjects Core Director and Community Engagement Core Liaison at the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus, gave a talk at the 2014 Minority Health & Health Disparities conference in December entitled, “Transdisciplinary Collaborations to Increase Awareness of Preterm Birch in Puerto Rico: Lessons Learned from the PROTECT Participants and the Community” during the Improving Women’s Health Across the Lifespan section. This conference highlighted the excellence and innovation in basic, translational, and clinical research from the programs supported by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), with a focus on early career investigators through training and professional development workshops, mentoring, and meet the expert sessions.
