Cynthia Seltzer is the Program Manager and Advisor for the PreHealth Advising Program. She works with students from first year though alumni, helping them to prepare for and apply to medical, dental, veterinary, optometry and podiatry programs. Cynthia coordinates the PreHealth Workshops, website, marketing, events, and letter process. Cynthia earned a MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. She is currently working on her doctorate at Northeastern University. She has been at Northeastern since 1999 and in the PreHealth Program since 2013. In her free time, Cynthia enjoys hiking, rock climbing, traveling and cooking.

Current Students and Recent Alumni: To set up an appointment with Cynthia or Ciara, go to the Self-Service tab of your myNEU, into the Advising Resources section. Choose the Appointment Calendar link. A new window will open. In the Find a Calendar section choose the PreHealth Advising Calendar. Select your advisor from the group. The calendar will open and you will have a number of options of times to choose from for an appointment. Please remember to set up your Medical Applicant Portal (MAP) before your appointment!
Alumni: Please send an e-mail to Cynthia Seltzer or Ciara O’Donnell with at least three specific times/dates that fit into your schedule, Monday through Thursday. Cynthia will contact you to confirm one of your choices. Appointment times are 9:00am to 4:00pm. If you cannot come onto campus, phone and skype appointments are available.

The College of Professional Studies team works with Undergraduates and Post-Bac Students at Northeastern’s College of Professional Studies (CPS). They are the first point of contact for CPS students.
