Sarah awarded $50,000 for a collaborative project with UMaine

Our proposal looks at artificial intelligence’s role in examining the interplay between newborns’ pacifier use and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), the leading cause of infant mortality in the first 30 days after birth. The project’s AI part is is led by Sarah Ostadabbas and is a collaboration with Prof. Emily Zimmerman at NU and Prof. Marie Hayes and Prof. Rebecca Schwartz-Mette at UMaine.
