Ann V. Edminster M.arch
Founder and Principal
Ann will give us a lightning tour through her work on zero energy homes, her strategies for getting to zero, lessons on how to make change happen, and what she sees in her crystal ball.
I’m a native of the SF Bay Area. I earned a B.S. in architecture from Cal Poly in 1978, after which I spent 15 years doing a mix of technical editing and writing and residential remodeling design. In 1993 I enrolled in the UC Berkeley M.Arch. program, which was my pivot into green building consulting. I’ve been an environmentalist since a very young age, and self-employed for most of my work life. For the last 12 years I’ve been laser-focused on climate. I live with 2 cats, my 21-year-old son, and his father. For fun I garden, knit, sew, and row.
