ABSTRACT:

Sustainability starts with the team and encompasses all aspects of a project, from permitting, site design, architecture, through occupation and use, and ultimately to demolition or reuse. In this presentation, you will learn about internal corporate sustainability initiatives and aspects of sustainable site design through examples of award-winning projects across the country.

BIO:

Robert graduated from Northeastern, completing the Doctoral program in Civil & Environmental Engineering. His research has ranged from small to large scale sustainability assessments for stormwater systems, toxicity assessments of building materials, to development of resilient and sustainable building models. Robert has joined the Site/Civil team at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in their Boston office. At Langan, Robert works with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated land development services for a diverse portfolio of projects, including colleges, mixed-use and residential developments, industrial sites, and brownfield redevelopment, among others.
