ABSTRACT:

Cities, institutions and governments have developed plans to significantly reduce greenhouse gases over the next 10 to 20 years. Electrification of building systems is identified in most of these plans as a path towards reducing the usage of fossil fuels. This presentation will explore the building scale design considerations for projects that are targeting to goal of zero combustion.

BIO:

Kristen is a Senior Sustainability Engineer with Buro Happold’s sustainability team. Her experience includes whole building energy analyses, with focuses in HVAC simulations, daylight modeling, and façade investigations.  She attained her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University (Class of 2016), and had the opportunity to work at Buro Happold after exploring the High Performance Building Performance Sector in her third co-op and after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, yoga, skiing, snowboarding, and taking her nieces and nephews to Legoland!
