ABSTRACT:
Aelan will talk about the ever expanding description of sustainability, how it differs from client to client, project to project, and the various rating systems. Aelan will present a few case studies of sustainable projects and the decision making process on sustainable elements. A discussion will follow about the responsibilities we as designers of the built environment have in educating our clients on how their decisions impact people, our planet, their personal profits and the world economy.

Intrigued with how Architecture permeates every aspect of our lives, from our homes to school and our work environments, Aelan, a LEED AP, strives to create unique spaces for her clients while integrating the latest green design elements. Her greatest strength and satisfaction comes from her artful ability to coordinate the collaboration between the client, design professionals and builders to realize a client’s vision.
