Unfortunately, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our annual outings (like Kimball Farms) were cancelled this year. However, we did attempt to host some fun, safe alternatives, seen below!

10/23/2020: Mole Day Tabling – As we do every year, we set up a table in celebration of Mole Day and National Chemistry Week to hand out tiny ACS moles to anyone who was interested! We made some modifications this year to allow the event to occur despite the COVID-19 pandemic, namely sanitation practices. We ran out of moles in record time – less than two hours!

10/30/2020: Virtual Pumpkin Painting – Over Zoom, our club got together to paint some spooktacular pumpkins! Supplies were provided by the CCB Department and were doled out in a COVID-safe fashion. Check out some of our members’ pumpkins below!

4/3/21: NUSAACS Aquarium Trip! – While this was sadly the only big event we were able to host in-person this year, we certainly made the most of it! NUSAACS took a group trip to the New England Aquarium in Boston for a day of fun with friends. Tickets were provided by the CCB Department. Members divided themselves into small groups so that everyone could maintain safe social-distancing while inside the aquarium. This was one of the last bonding events of the semester, and members had a wonderful time reconnecting and interacting after many months of only seeing one another through screens! From the Great Barrier Reef to the Caribbean Sea and everywhere in between, our chapter made memories that they will appreciate and look back on for a long time. Check out some pictures from our trip below!
