Dean’s Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Scholar in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Digital Humanities, Dr. Moya Bailey, will give a talk entitled “#transform(ing)dh Writing and Research: An Autoethnography of Digital Humanities Feminist Ethics” on Thursday, February 12 at 3:00 pm in 270 Holmes Hall.

Through interviews and evaluation of social media posts, Professor Moya Bailey examines the unintentional consequences for Black women whose voices have been utilized in the media about social media. She draws on her own efforts to mitigate negative fallout for collaborators by sharing her own methodological strategies for more ethical engagement while researching the internet.
