NULab Fellow Devin Gaffney, of the Network Science Department, will lead a workshop on November 5 at 1:00 pm on the network visualization tool Gephi. The workshop will be held in the Center for Complex Network Research, Dana Hall, 5th floor.
The workshop will take place in two phases. Phase I, from 1:00-2:00 pm, will serve as an overview of Gephi, presenting the basics of the tool, what it can do, and how it can help you. Phase II, from 2:00-3:00 pm, will be a hands-on workshop, helping you internalize the earlier lesson by working through an example: visualizing Kieran Healy’s “Finding Paul Revere” dataset. Those planning to participate in Phase II should download Gephi onto their computers and bring those with them to the workshop.
Devin Gaffney is a veteran Gephi user and literal master of the Internet who has honed his skills at various technology startups over the years. He is ready to show you all the tips and tricks.
Please contact Carolina Mattsson, NULab Fellow, with any questions about the workshop. We look forward to seeing you there.
