GIS Day at Northeastern University

Northeastern University Library’s Digital Scholarship Group (DSG) and the NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks would like to invite you to our GIS Day celebration at Snell Library. On November 16th from 9am to 12pm, the DSG is offering a free hands-on GIS workshop that is open to the NU community. This workshop will be followed by a public social event to enrich communication between the variety of GIS users across academia from 2pm to 5pm.

The keynote for the event will be delivered by Patrick Florance, the Associate Director of Geospatial Technology Services at Tufts University, followed by several additional talks introducing NU’s GIS resources, showcasing GIS projects and an opportunity to network with GIS companies.

Refreshments will be served and a final schedule will be distributed before the event.
