Imke Reimers joined Northeastern in 2014 as an assistant professor of economics after spending a year at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), where she was the postdoctoral fellow in the digitization and copyright initiative. She earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota after receiving a BS in economics and mathematics from the University of Nebraska. Her research interests are in industrial organization and applied econometrics. Her current work focuses on how intellectual property policy and new technologies affect supply, demand, and platforms in publishing and digital industries.
