Roger Kautz, former Principal Research Scientist & NMR Facility Director

On May 27, 2017 longtime NMR Facility Director Dr. Roger Kautz passed away after a long battle with brain cancer.

Roger was a dedicated member of the Northeastern community and was passionate about our Nuclear Magnetic Resonance instrumentation facility.

In his memory, the College of Science has established Roger Kautz Prize in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology. This award will be made to an undergraduate student who demonstrates talent, expertise, and, indeed, passion for NMR spectroscopy.
