Northeastern’s Learning Environment
Northeastern’s learning environment leverages open technologies and integrations to include innovative, global and experiential learning platforms. A robust data backbone supports customized, lifelong, and experiential learning, which is the cornerstone of Northeastern’s innovative approach to higher education. Flexible and futureproof, this Northeastern online environment will only evolve with input and partnership of the Northeastern community in support of university goals for teaching and learning tools as we evolve with Northeastern 2025.
Participate in TEXPO 2019: Technology in Teaching. Information Technology Services is excited to announce our fifth annual Technology in Teaching Expo. All Northeastern University faculty and staff are invited to engage with colleagues, share knowledge, hear how different departments are using technology and how Information Technology Services is supporting your efforts. Register at our conference website.
Take the Learning Management Environment Survey. In light of the transformational vision set by Northeastern 2025 and our experience with Blackboard to date, we are seeking faculty and staff input on our future upgrade path. The first of these opportunities to provide feedback is this survey, which gathers basic information about your use of Blackboard (or why you do not use it). The survey also provides an opportunity to indicate your interest in participating in a focus group, town hall, or committee related to this effort. Learning Management Environment Feedback Survey
Learn about the Learning Management Environment Steering Committee. Last April we held the inaugural meeting of the Learning Management Environment Steering Committee (LMESC), which is an advisory committee created to provide direct-line community feedback to Cole Camplese, the CIO and Vice President of Information Technology. The LMESC is arranging a number of opportunities to gather your feedback on how well our current learning management environment is meeting your current and future needs. Additional outreach opportunities will be extended by the committee soon.
In recognition of the shared mission of all Northeastern faculty and students, January 2018 will see a streamlined support structure that provides 24/7 support to the entire university community. Help will be available in a number of ways, described below.
