  Biography
Dr. Hasson's research integrates the fields of biomechanics, sensorimotor control, and computational neuroscience. He aims to understand how concurrent changes in the musculoskeletal and nervous systems contribute to decrements in movement control and performance. This knowledge will aid in the development of novel therapies to improve movement control in healthy aging and neurological dysfunction. Dr. Hasson is the recipient of dual pre- and post-doctoral individual fellowship awards from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. He regularly presents his research at national and international conferences and has published in leading journals in his field. Dr. Hasson earned his bachelor of science at the University of Delaware, master of science at Ball State University, and doctorate in kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In addition to research, he enjoys teaching courses on a variety of topics, including biomechanics and sensorimotor control, and is a champion of experiential learning. He also advocates the use of technology in research, teaching, and rehabilitation, and has a zeal for virtual reality and robotic interfaces.
