Congratulations to Andrew Pike on his Acceptance to Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College

Nanomagnetism Group member Andrew Pike graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Chemical Engineering and Physics and as a member of the University Honors Program. Andrew’s contributions to the group include building tools to probe the nature of magnetic materials and performing simulations of magnetocaloric materials using the Object-Oriented Micromagnetic Framework (OOMMF). During his time at Northeastern, Andrew completed three co-ops at Rapiscan Systems, MTPV Power Corp., and Lockheed Martin Advanced Energy Storage, served as an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow in the Physics department for four semesters, and was active with Northeastern Club Cycling. Andrew received the 2017 Lawrence Award for Undergraduate Scholastic Excellence in Physics, and the Chemical Engineering Department’s Undergraduate Research Award and Senior Capstone Award. Andrew will continue his studies by pursuing a Ph.D. at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College where he has received the competitive Dean’s Fellowship.
