Abstract:   Consider quiver varieties for an affine quiver. They are moduli spaces of instantons on the ALE space. Their equivariant K-groups have structures of representations of the quantum toroidal algebra, a q-analog of the loop algebra of the affine Lie algebra (2-toroidal algebra). This is a generalization of my construction for quiver varieties for a finite quiver. I will discuss some open problems.
