Talk 5:15-6:00pm in E25-111 (preceded by Nayantara Bhatnagar's talk)

Abstract: Many modern statistical models are parametrized by graphs. Questions regarding the inference of graph parameters resulted in many interesting developments in algorithms, combinatorics, probability, statistics and statistical physics. The talk will survey some of the main examples, results and open problems in the area.
