Abstract:   Let m be a positive integer, and let f:E ---> R, where E is a given (arbitrary) subset of Rn. How can we tell whether f extends to a Cm function F on Rn? If F exists, how small can we make its Cm norm, and what can we say about its m-jet at a given point?
