IEEE RAS is hosting an introductory Robot OS (ROS) workshop for students with basic programming experience in Python. ROS is a framework that allows roboticists to rapidly develop high level applications and implement algorithms on various systems and robots. It is the most used tool in the robotics industry and is (mostly) language invariant, having wrappers for Python, C++, Java, JS, Lisp, and more. This workshop will go over the principles of robotic systems as well as the basic structures and tools of the ROS framework. A basic knowledge of Python and the Linux command line is expected.
