I am a graduate student working in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Near at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Broadly speaking, I am interested in chemical ecology and ecotoxicology. During the ICEFISH Cruise, I will be collecting tissue and DNA samples from the Sub-Antarctic notothenioids. I will analyze these specimens at UTK as part of Dr. Near's continuing research program on notothenioid phylogeny. I am also personally interested in the Sub-Antarctic and Antarctic invertebrates, especially the cephalopods.
