Photo of Paul BrickleMy current research interests are the reproductive biology, age and growth, population dynamics and the population structure of notothenioid fish inhabiting the waters around the Falkland Islands. I also have a very keen interest in marine parasites and their use as biological tags for investigating the population structure and migration of fish hosts. I used the parasites of the Patagonian toothfish to examine their population structure around the Southern Ocean as part of my PhD. I have been and continue to be a part of a number of diet and feeding studies of marine fish around the Falkland Islands and I am interested in the environmental and fisheries impact on trophic structures in communities.
