Travel the icy waters of the Antarctic Ocean with Professor Bill Detrich of Northeastern University and his fellow polar researchers from around the world. Learn about life on board the ship of the Nathaniel B. Palmer and under the frozen seas between the Falkland Islands and Tristan da Cunha. Students from schools in the United States, England, France, Italy, and New Zealand will be joining the ICEFISH expedition by communicating with scientists via email, participating in their own experiments, and being part of an integrated learning environment that blends science, math, reading and social studies. We invite all teachers and students who visit this site to download fun games and challenging experiments related to the ICEFISH cruise.
