Each year, we host multiple events to raise money and awareness about NTDs. Here are just a few of the events we have hosted!

Trivia Night (2018)

We had a trivia night at Conor Larkins with questions ranging from food to pop culture to NTDs! Alyssa (our Vice President) and Michaiah (our secretary) were our MCs for the night and came up with all the questions. The winning team received a gift card to the Cheesecake factory. 100% of the entry fees went to Deworm the World of Evidence Action, our parent organization and one of GiveWell’s most efficacious charities!

Say Cheese to End Neglected Disease (2018)

For Welcome Week 2018, we handed out grilled cheeses and talked about NTDs, what can be done, and what the END Initiative is doing about it. We loved meeting all the new students and talking with new members!

The Final Stretch (2018)

We hosted a yoga and a zumba class (taught by one of our own members!) during reading day of Spring 2018. It was a great way to relax and take a break from studying. We also handed out self-care bags with face masks, tea, and supplies for finals.

Battle of the Bands (2017)

We invited bands from all over Boston, from local middle school bands to Berklee College bands, to battle it out in a competition at ZUMIX. The winner got to perform on 94.9, a radio station in Boston. All of the ticket sales went directly to Deworm the World, our choice of charity and part of our parent organization, Evidence Action. It was incredible to hear all the various genres of music and meet everyone who donated!
