Dr. Jenny Tang is an economist in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Her research interests include macroeconomics, monetary policy, and international finance. She received her B.S. in Economics and International Business at New York University, and her A.M. and Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University.
Dr. Tang will discuss for students how the Federal Reserve conducts monetary policy, and how its actions impact the rest of the economy. She will then cover the recent recession and the new policy tools that the Fed has employed in response, as well as how the conduct of monetary policy may change in the future.
