ECONPress Submissions Process and Guidelines
ECONPress is a peer-reviewed academic journal where anonymized papers are reviewed multiple times and may undergo several rounds of revisions before they are accepted for publication.
We welcome all papers related to the study of Economics from undergraduate authors of an accredited university. This includes, but is not limited to, interviews with economists, research papers, and opinion papers. Submissions can be sent in through the “Submit Articles” tab.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, with the selection process occurring twice per year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
Peer Review Process
When an Author submits a paper to ECONPress, it is reviewed by our Student Review Committee.
These Reviewers vote to make one of the following decisions, which they communicate to the author through email:
- Accept and publish submission with no revisions
- Revisions required for publishing
- Decline submission
If the paper is accepted with or without revisions, it will be reviewed by a Copy Editor, and after minor errors are corrected, it is put in a queue for publication. The queue of publication is further reviewed by our Faculty Board of Editors.
If the paper is not accepted for the Journal, it may be recommended as an article to be published on our website as a blog post. The author will be contacted and necessary revisions will be made clear to the author to continue with this course of action.
