Welcome To The Center For Public Interest Advocacy And Collaboration

We are a hub for social justice law at Northeastern University School of Law. CPIAC connects the diverse social justice endeavors at the School of Law, with a focus on creating interdisciplinary partnerships and facilitating new approaches to lawyering in the public interest.

We host guest speakers to deliver community lectures, participate in interactive panels, teach mini-classes and offer one-on-one advising sessions to students. We also screen human rights films, hold pro bono opportunity fairs, and have regular coffee hour discussions to bring students and practitioners together to engage with the practice of social justice law.

CPIAC is an incubator for new social justice legal projects at NUSL.  Current initiatives include a project that is developing resources to support dismantlement of the cradle-to-prison pipeline, research into voting wait times and voting rights, and a project focused on state and private collaboration in the characterization and surveillance of marginalized communities.

We’re always looking for volunteers. Learn more about how you can get involved!
