NUPL competed in the Raw Collegiate Cup on Nov 9, 2019. The event had sixty seven lifters; all of which were college students. We saw representatives from Umass Boston, Umass Amherst, Dartmouth College, and University of Rhode Island; even representatives from ivy league colleges such as Harvard and Brown. As a team, Northeastern Powerlifting took the first place. LIfters such as Louie Liu, Michael Khalil, and Alex Bruskin took first place in their respective weight classes.
On the women’s side, they finished 1st overall and had four 1st place finishers; Danielle Baldassari, Morgan Stahl, Tina Zheng, Lauren Flynn, and two 2nd place finishers; Julia Spinelli, Elizabeth Taft!
The team will be competing in the RI Winter Equinox on Dec 8, 2019.
