NEU Running USATF and Hyannis Recap

Club Running had a busy Sunday this past weekend. We sent runners to race at both the USATF New England Indoor Championships hosted at Harvard University’s Gordon Track and the Hyannis Marathon team relay and half marathon.

Our runners had a good showing on the oval and the USATF meet was highlighted by a few new club records. Julia Kautz ran to a women’s 400m record in a time of 1:03.95 while Abisola Olaogun lowered to 200m record with her time of 27.90. Additionally, Brendan Hehir set a new men’s 5000m club record in a time of 15:11.15.

Meanwhile, we had eight relay teams cover the marathon distance in Hyannis. Our teams swept the top 5 finishing spots, with the team of Mike Andrecyk, Jonah Spector, Luke Janik, and Peter Texiera crossing the line first in 2:24:55. Our lone half marathon runner was Aaron Pradhan, who finished with a time of 1:39:07.
