Northeastern Club Equestrian welcomed 9 new members throughout the course of the year to bring their membership up to 26 riders from all levels and backgrounds across the world! Their year round riding season was extended from 15 weeks to 26 weeks.
This time enabled them to gain a total of 334 points in the show ring by 12 competing individuals. Their fundraising efforts increased through cup koozie sale, succulent sale, Yankee Candle sale, varsity game volunteering, Husky Starter campaign, Gillette Stadium Concession.
Their point riders accumulated a total of 175 points, placing them 4th overall in Zone 1 Region 2 out of 12 teams for the season with multiple champion and reserve champion awards at 6 regular season shows. Five of our team members qualified for the Regional Championship:
Lauren Pippins (Open Fences, Flat, Challenge Cup)
Noah Geslao (Open Challenge Cup)
Maddi DiBella (Intermediate Fences)
Lily Dempsey (Limit Flat)
Caitlin Looney (Limit Flat).
Lauren also ended the year as Reserve Cacchione Rider for the Region, as well as deserving recipient of the IHSA/USHJA Sportsmanship Award.
