October 8, 2017 - Huskies Complete the Series Sweep vs. Syracuse

The Huskies defeated Syracuse University 2-0 on Sunday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Northeastern Huskies pitchers struck out seven, while Jorgensen sat down four. A single by Weber in the first inning was a positive for Syracuse University.

Chris Cioffi earned the win for Northeastern Huskies. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out four. Josh Soldan and Andrew Horowitz entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Horowitz recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Northeastern Huskies. Jorgensen took the loss for Syracuse University. He lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.

Northeastern Huskies totaled eight hits. Jake Bichler, Dan Giurini, and Luke Bakker each managed multiple hits for Northeastern Huskies. Bichler went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Northeastern Huskies in hits.

October 7, 2017 - Huskies Go 2-0 On The Day

Syracuse University scored three runs in the third inning, but Northeastern Huskies still won 7-4 on Saturday. Syracuse University's big inning was driven by by Burke and Beldotti and an error on a ball put in play by Marteka. Northeastern Huskies got on the board in the second inning. Josh Soldan grounded out, scoring one run.

Northeastern Huskies pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third, Andrew Purdy doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Dan Giurini singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, and Soldan singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kevin Gemmill earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Northeastern Huskies. He went four and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four. Lipinski took the loss for Syracuse University. He went four innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out six and walking zero. David Carter started the game for Northeastern Huskies. He allowed four hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Northeastern Huskies had nine hits in the game. Giurini and Purdy all collected multiple hits for Northeastern Huskies. Giurini led Northeastern Huskies with three hits in three at bats. Syracuse University tallied seven hits. Jorgensen and Skalla each collected multiple hits for Syracuse University.

October 7, 2017 - NEU Opens Up Season With A Solid Performance vs. Syracuse

Northeastern Huskies opened up the season beating Syracuse University 9-4 on Saturday.

SU opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Syracuse.

Northeastern Huskies put up six runs in the sixth inning. Christian Nagasugi, Matthew Andrade, Andrew Purdy, Luke Bakker, and Dan Giurini all drove in runs in the frame.

Camden Brown was credited with the victory for Northeastern Huskies. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out one. Peter Diaz and Andrew Horowitz entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Resnick took the loss for Syracuse University. He surrendered nine runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out six.

Northeastern Huskies tallied ten hits in the game. Giurini and Purdy each had multiple hits for Northeastern Huskies. Purdy and Giurini each collected two hits to lead Northeastern Huskies. Syracuse University racked up eight hits. Weber and Fabbri all had multiple hits for Syracuse University.

January 23, 2017 - Club Baseball Tryouts

The Northeastern University Club Baseball Team will be holding spring tryouts for the upcoming ’17 season on Wednesday, January 25th at Extra Innings in Watertown from 8:30pm to 10:00pm. Vans will be transporting prospective players from Chicken Lou’s (50 Forsyth St.) at 7:45 pm.

All prospective players must complete registration at Do Sports Easy prior to trying out. Please wear a numbered shirt if possible, and we will see you all there!

October 13, 2015 - Huskies take game 3, sweep series

Northeastern men’s club baseball wrapped up an electric three game series sweep of rival Boston College on Monday night at Jefferson Field with a 7-1 victory. The Huskies scored first and never looked back. Led by hits from Whittle, Hendy, and rookie Zach Astran, the Huskies took a 2-0 lead in the 4th. The Huskies tacked on five more runs throughout the game with more key hits coming from French, Carignan, and rookie sophomore Ryan Howe. Husky pitching remained strong, allowing only two hits all night. Middler Nick DelRe led the charge, tossing five scoreless innings and striking out five. Sophomore Joe Liddy held the Eagles in check over three innings, followed by a scoreless 9th inning from junior Steve “Big Tax” Coccio. The Huskies are now 3-0 to start the season, and will travel to Delaware for a three game series October 24 and 25.

October 12, 2015 - NU takes both games of the doubleheader

The men’s club baseball team travelled to Cleveland circle to play cross-town rival Boston College in their first doubleheader of the fall season. In game one, the Huskies rode crafty senior veteran, Phil Carignan, for 6 innings, holding the Eagles to only 5 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 7. The Huskies did most of their damage in the 5th, scoring 7 of their 9 runs. Rookie, Luke Bakker, found the right-center field gap with the bases loaded, clearing the bases, knocking in 3 runs with one swing of the bat. Hits by Whittle, French, Concessi, Foley, Hendy, and Howe also contributed to the big inning. Huskies called the number of rookie Andrew Horowitz in the bottom of the 7th where he pitched a scoreless frame, striking out the side and closing the door on the Eagles. Huskies win game 1, 9-4.

In the latter game of the doubleheader, huskies called upon electric junior, Will Clark, to start on the mound. Game 2 was all about Clark as he threw a complete game no hitter walking only 2. Clark’s arsenal simply overpowered the BC lineup, leading to 8 strikeouts through 7 innings. The Huskies got on the board in the 2nd inning when sure-handed veteran, Phil Carignan, smashed a one-out single, with Jared Lowe singleing him in a few batters later. One run proved to be all the Huskies needed behind the spectacular pitching performance of Will Clark. Huskies win game 2, 1-0. The Huskies look to complete the 3 game sweep tonight at home, with the first pitch being thrown at Jefferson Field on Grotto Glen Road at 8PM.

October 1, 2015 - Williamsburg Fall Classic Cancelled

Due to the Hurricane, the tournament has been cancelled. Next up for the Huskies is a 3 game series vs. Boston College.

August 22, 2015 - Williamsburg Fall Classic

The Huskies will be traveling to Willamsburg VA on October 2nd to play in the first annual Williamsburg Fall Classic, hosted by the William and Mary Club Baseball team. This is a 6 team double elimination tournament guaranteed to be some exciting baseball. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

May 3, 2015 - Huskies win the conference!

The Huskies took both games of the doubleheader today, 2-1, and 11-2 from Boston College. They will be the #2 seed in the upcoming Regional Tournament, where they will be facing off against Penn State University in the first game. April 27, 2015 - Huskies take 2 of 3 from the Minutemen

After dropping game 1 to UMasss, the Huskies stepped it up in games 2 and 3 and were able to take the series from the Minutemen. With these victories, all the Huskies need is 1 win next weekend @ Boston College to win the conference, and clinch a spot in the North Atlantic Regional Tournament.

April 20, 2015 - BU Series Recap

Northeastern Club Baseball played a three game series against cross town rival BU this past weekend. The Huskies started slow game 1 losing 7-4 despite Higgins going yard. The second game showed more late inning heroics coming from behind in the seventh with a walk off double by Beynor. The final score was 6-5 in the team's third walk off win of the year. That was the spark the Huskies needed because NU went on to mercy BU 12-1 in the final game, massing 11 hits in the five innings of play. This weekend the team travels to UMASS Amherst to fight to possibly clinch a spot in the Regional Playoffs.

April 16, 2015 - Huskies Drop Mid-Week Makeup

The Huskies dropped a sloppy game last night 13-9 to the cross town Eagles. This was the first of 3 make up games, with the next two scheduled for later in the month depending on weather. The Huskies will be taking on the Terriers this weekend, make sure to stay tuned!

April 13, 2015 - Huskies sweep the Huskies of UConn

Yesterday was the first real signs that Spring is actually on its way and Northeastern traveled to UCONN for a Sunday series. In perfect weather conditions the NU Huskies took all three games in close fought games winning 9-8, 6-4 and 1-0. Will Clark and Steve "Big Tax" Coccio combined for a 8 inning one hitter in the third game. Next games are against crosstown rivals BU this weekend.

April 8, 2015 - Huskies sweep the Danes

The season has arrived. The cold and very windy weekend didn't hold us back. The Huskies swept SUNY Albany in their first three game series of spring, winning the first two games off walk off hits 6-5, and 4-3 respectively. Game three started strong with 10 first inning runs and ended with a 12-5 NU win. Next weekend we travel to Storrs to take on the other Huskies of UCONN.
