At the Communication Development Lab we investigate perceptual and cognitive development in human infants and young children to gain new insights into the development of multisensory communication skills. Our research is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.

Below is an interview on NPR’s Science Friday program in which Dr. Lewkowicz described studies that he and his colleagues, Drs. Ferran Pons and Laura Bosch, conducted with bilingual infants growing up in Spain.

On October 23, 2015, Dr. Lewkowicz gave an invited talk at a Symposium entitled “Synesthesia – A Window into Brain Development” at Harvard University. In this talk, Dr. Lewkowicz provides a comprehensive review of the work in his laboratory on the development of multisensory perception in human infants.
