Park Play App

An interactive picture scene designed to record and elicit connected speech from children with speech disorders.

Based on the Park Play scene (Patel & Connaghan, 2014), a child-friendly picture description task, we have developed a web application that both elicits and records speech samples. The app is designed to provide an interactive, engaging and convenient method to elicit connected speech and targets for assessment of childhood motor speech disorders. We are currently beta testing the app with children with speech disorders through local clinical collaborators.
