BATL
OVERVIEW
The Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Laboratory (BATL) was established to provide a source for training—through experiential learning—on the intricacies of regulatory considerations for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and other related health products. Guided by the mission of Northeastern University to apply its use-inspired research and commitment to experiential learning to address societal needs, BATL contributes to improving patient access to safe healthcare products and health security by offering a unique hands-on training opportunity to academia, industry, and government in the form of affordable, practical, and comprehensive courses in its state-of-the-art facility.
BATL is recognized by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) as a neutral, global facilitator of collaboration between academia, industry, and government toward regulatory convergence. As a trusted partner within this wide collaborative network of international and regional regulatory authorities, industry, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions, BATL is playing a leadership role in contributing to regional capacity-building and systems-strengthening initiatives.
